Special Assistant to the President for External Affairs
Coordinates and assists with planning, developing, and administering the ACC alumni relations programs and activities.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates and implements alumni special projects, programs, and activities. Includes creating announcement materials, tracking participation, making arrangements for event and program facilities, catering, setup and clean up, equipment, and presenters.
Identifies and recruits alumni for participation in special events and programs.
Researches alumni database and participants for identifying outstanding alumni for College general publications or for marketing productions.
Serves as communication liaison for alumni events and programs. Encourages alumni support and participation in educational, cultural, and social College programs. Conducts, compiles and reports on alumni survey data. Composes and disseminates information.
Plans, organizes and implements the annual Outstanding Alumni Award event; coordinates event with Marketing and Professional Development to showcase event and award recipient.
Develops and prepares the Alumni News (online), and coordinates its publication on the established schedule.
Maintains and updates alumni website with information on alumni issues and events, news, programs, resumes and employment opportunities, mentor participants, and volunteer opportunities, and a calendar of events.
In coordination with IT, develops access guidelines for all internal ACC administrators, and supports information requests as needed.
Works collaboratively with the ACC Foundation office.
Works collaboratively with internal departments of the College, sharing information on the alumni program and cooperatively working within the ACC district to institutionalize Alumni Program and activities.
Coordinates the alumni/student mentor program.
Maintains and updates database of alumni information.
