Course Description: Basic Math Skills is the beginning Developmental Math course at Austin Community College. It is designed to give students the tools they will need in order to be successful in an algebra based curriculum. Students who successfully exit this course will understand operations on fractions, signed numbers operations, evaluating expressions, and solving equations. Successful students will also acquire fundamental skills in developing an organized approach in solving application problems.
