(For complete attendance policy go to Master Syllabus for CJLE 2421 at http://www.austincc.edu/crij.)

INSTRUCTOR’S GRADING POLICY

Three “Open Book Exams” will be given.  These scores will be added up and averaged.  The average will count as a major examination grade.  These Exams will be available in the Assignment section of Blackboard.  Instructor will announce when exams are made available. (Note:  one point will be deducted for each incorrect answer.)

Three “Closed Book Exams” will be given.  These scores will be added up and averaged.  The average will count as a major examination grade.

Several “Projects” will be given.  The grades on these projects will be combined and averaged and will count as a major examination grade.

A Comprehensive Examination will be given for the entire course.  This score will count as a major examination grade.

The final grade for the course will be determined as follows:  Average of “Open Book Exams” + Average of Closed Book Exams + Average of  Projects + Score for the Comprehensive Exam = Total Score for Course.  This total will then be divided by four  to get course average.
