  • OFFICE HOURS: Monday 2pm-6pm; Tuesday and Thursday 5pm-6pm
    ADDITIONAL OFFICE HOURS: By Appointment, I am very flexible and will work on your schedule as much as possible including weekends if necessary.

Course Requirements

 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS      

  1. Read the text book chapters before you come to class.
  2. Class participation is mandatory in this class.  Approximately 20% of your grade will come from in-class work. 
  3. Students are highly encouraged to keep up and on schedule.  Homework or extra credit projects may be graded for extra credit or as a sign of effort (at the discretion of instructor). 
  4. Students are required to get the help they need in a timely fashion (do not wait till the end of the semester).  If for some reason, your messages are not returned in a timely manner, it is up to you to follow up and get help.  Make sure you include your name, section number and the name of your class in all communications.  Sometimes my schedule is hectic so don’t waste time waiting, call again if you don’t get the help you need.

To this standard managers and organizations must succeed. This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the theories, principles, concepts and essentials of management. This course also covers how good managers make organizations successful by building competitive advantages in the forms of cost competitiveness, quality, speed and innovation.
